MATRIX POWER AMPLIFIER WITH EXTRAORDINARY PROCESSING POWER

Asystems’ DMA8825 offers 8-in, 8-out operation sporting eight quality, transparent preamps for mic- or line-level sources, plus the ability to add an additional eight channels of I/O via an optional Dante™ network card. The 40-bit floating-point DSP handles everything from EQs and dynamics to signal routing and auto-mixing. An internal power amp pumps 250 watts of clean, unadulterated power to each of the DMA8825’s eight speaker outputs. Integration of both professional- and consumer-grade playback devices is easy through the Euroblock and RCA connectors, as well as the digital AES/EBU and word clock I/O. All functions can be controlled via Windows software or by connecting any VGA monitor and USB mouse.

For easy system integration, space savings, and cost cutting without compromise in quality, the 2U rack-mountable DMA8825 features a multi-channel power amplifier that provides 250 watts to each of its eight output channels. Asystems advanced power amplifier technology employs intelligent software control systems that constantly monitor temperature in real time and warns you if a fault occurs. Along with available options for low-impedance or line distribution applications, the DMA8825’s powered output channels can operate in bridged-mono (4 outputs) for double the output power per channel.

The Asystems DMA8825 Matrix Processor stands apart from the competition with a precision 40-bit floating-point processor. With internal sampling selectable between 44.1kHz and 48kHz, internal signal processors include 31-band graphic EQs, 4-band parametric EQs, compressors, expanders, gates, voltage-controlled amplifier, auto-mixing, and a feedback silencer with 12 razor-thin filters to remove jarring feedback without compromising audio. For applications requiring live speech or paging along with program material, the DMA8825 also includes ducking with threshold, depth, attack and release controls.

There’s more than one way to access the Asystems DMA8825 control software, but none more comprehensive and direct than simply plugging a VGA monitor and USB mouse into the VGA and USB rear-panel connectors – no driver downloads necessary, and no computer system compatibility issues to deal with. Thanks to its VGA and USB connectors, the DMA8825 can connect to any VGA monitor and USB mouse to control the formidable and flexible matrix mixer, signal processors, scheduling features, and other system setup tools. Remote control of levels and presets is also possible through Asystems’ proprietary wall-mountable RM-2VR and RM-4 remote controls. Many other system parameters can be controlled through the use of the programmable RM-6E remote.

The aforementioned features – in fact, the entirety of the DMA8825’s large signal processing arsenal – can all be controlled through the dedicated Windows control software. This software provides immediate control of all DMA signal processors, as well as offering installers with speaker management features such as time delay for speakers in large venues, crossover settings, detailed system performance monitoring with real-time error notification, and signal generator for speaker calibration. Additionally, the signal generator menu lets you select playback of MP3 files from an SD card. Asystems control software also features a full range of security features, extensive event scheduling capabilities, flexible networking, and user-accounts, so once your DMA8825 is set to your preferences – it stays that way.

im_DMA8825_front1036x275 The attractive, machine-milled front panel of the DMA8825 is elegantly simple, featuring eight, four-segment LED input level meters. Beneath each level meter is a rotary control that adjusts output levels for each channel. There are also LED indicators for channel clipping, and bridged mono mode. On the right side of the front panel next to the Power on/off switch, there are LED indicators for Power; Disable, which lights when the power switch is disabled from the control software*; Standby/Unlock, for when the DMA8825 is in Standby mode; and Protect, which indicates when the protect circuitry is active. Integrated rack ears makes the 2U DMA8825 readily rack-mountable. *Once the physical power switch has been disabled, it can only be activated from the DMA8825’s software control panel. This subtle but important feature prevents accidental shutdowns from wandering fingers.
